Collection Drives
TFR has become widely recognized in the community for their efforts in leading large-scale community collection drives for local refugee organizations, including RISSE, the USCRI, and the Grassroot Givers. Their work has been reported in the Times Union and Spectrum News.

Peer Mentoring
Our teen volunteers also work with local refugee children through community organizations as well as through the North Colonie school district. They volunteer as homework helpers and activity leaders, but are most importantly peer mentors for every child they interact with.
Community Outreach
TFR has been a resource to the community, as they continue their work virtually throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and serve as resources for local refugee families and their children as we navigate this difficult time. The members also reach out the community to educate them about the ongoing crisis, through summer volunteering at the William K. Sanford town library.
